What is the best internet anti-virus software?

As I type this I obviously have a virus because I keep getting the windows security alert pop-up saying my computer is infected. I have AVG, Avira and my internet provider security software. How and the hell did this virus manage to get on my computer. More importantly, how do I remove it??? PLEASE HELP. I have the big spyware alert screen stuck on my desktop and it can not be minimized or moved.
Should I uninstall my provider ( AT&T)security suite and just go with Avast?

You need to get Avast and virus scan your hard drive
Try Kaspersky Lab. Download it and update it. It is one of the best suites out there. They have a free 30 day trial version.
If your AVG is the free version, it won’t remove Trojans.
Go to safe mode with networking by restarting your computer and pressing F8 continuously and then download Super Anti Spyware and do an update, then run.
Don’t’ use more than one virus protection software, they just interfere with each other.
Just update and run the scanner in safe mode.
The reason it most probably got onto your computer is because you have got 2 Anti-Virus programs which you never should have 2 as the clash and they go against each other. To remove it, un-install both of them once you have downloaded Avast. You need to register every year (which is free) to get your license code. Download Avast here:

Avast has many may features to protect you. Make sure you have a firewall (like windows firewall) turned on too. However you will need extra protection, i suggest A-Squared Free. You can download it here:

I researched this exact thing before I bought Norton IS 2009.
I used free “Avast” before I got Norton IS 2009…..and if you’re looking for free…..download Avast. It’s good.
Too many anti-virus software installed.
