How do I connect my Xbox 360 to the internet wirelessly?
by admin in Computer Networking
No Comments
I have a subscription to Xbox Live and want to connect my console wirelessly. I already have a Belkin 802.11g wireless router that connects my laptop. I know I need to purchase an adapter or some type of receiver to connect to the Xbox but I was wondering if I have other options besides purchasing a $100 Xbox brand USB adapter. I’ve tried searching the internet for answers but it’s all so confusing. I am watching an item on ebay now:
“D-Link DWL-G820 Wireless G Gaming Bridge Adapter”
It it supposed to be compitable with Xbox 360 via ethernet cable but I don’t want to bid until I’m sure whether it is compatible with my Belkin router.

Adding an AOL internet connection under My Network Connections?
by admin in Other - Internet
I have Windows XP Professional and under My Network Connections, my AOL internet connection is not there. I had my computer fixed for about a one and a half months now, and the Internet Connection 1 is not there. I am on AOL, and yet the connection isn’t under there. I’ve tried to make a new connection, but it never gets passed verifying the username and password. Also, this is dial-up, not broadband. I couldn’t find out how to fix this anywhere and was wondering if someone could help me. Also, whenever I try to create a new connection, under the properties, the first tab, it is WAN Miniport when it should be a modem since this is Dial-Up. If you need more info, ask, I will try my best. I need to allow to share my internet connection, but I cannot without the connection there.
Thank you for your help,
Cody
There is no connection under Network Connections in my control panel. I go there and it is blank. There is no icons there whatsoever. That is why I was wondering how I can get my network icon to show.
